About me
Recently graduated from the Academy of Photography in Amsterdam, I am looking back to my development. I had to undergo a kind of transformation. Quite a long way it was, going from a professional Red Beret in the Royal Dutch Army to an autonomous photographer. Memories are a guideline for me. For every human being memories are almost like pictures, sometimes vague, sometimes crystal clear. These memories will come to life when projected on a screen or on people wich i photograph. Projections that consist of photos/colour slides from the past, combined to persons or situations connected.Like a veil those projections put a new layer over the old memories, creating a new atmosphere.Thus the images enhance each other and tell the stories about the characters that are concerned.
